Book – Rich Dad, Poor Dad by Robert Kiyosaki

Another dust collector, I finally managed to read, after years of putting it off. I bought this book even before I got married.  So it has obviously taken years for me to read it. I went with an out of town audit in some klein plaas town. It took us about an hour to get to the site to audit. On the journey, this book was highly recommended. After reading the alchemist, I thought let me start finishing some of the books I have bought.

Some times you read a self improvement book and the message may not be appropriate, but the message from Rich Dad, Poor Dad is timeless. It is applicable today and will be applicable when my bachoo is older as well. A few basic concepts to incorporate in your life to get financial independence. The biggest lesson is to know exactly what really an asset is and what a liability is. Also most us work for money, when in actual fact money should be working for us. It would be very interesting to know if anyone from South Africa has tried some of his concepts in our market environment and give us some lessons learnt.
