My love for good food originates from my mother’s dishes, anything Italian and local food markets. I cook for cultural gratification, visual beauty and honesty to ingredients. I am inspired by the potential of farm fresh produce, the authenticity of flavours in foods from diverse cultures and the effort of producing healthy dishes which are equally delicious.
My cooking style has been influenced by Nigella Lawson, Jamie Oliver and the television show, Master Chef. In 2011, I started my own home business, verdiglorious, fresh pesto made to order.
Through my own dishes, I would like to offer the audience ideas for food which is interesting, cultural and innovative: food that is wholesome, delicious, healthy and original.
