Route

The start is in the city centre, outside the Civic Centre. You then travel along the M3 and turn left on to the Main Road in Lakeside and then turn right on to Boyes Drive through to Kalk Bay. You continue through Fishoek to Simons Town along the scenic coastal route to Smitswinkel Bay turning north near the entrance to the entrance to Cape Point. You then continue past Scarborough and on to Oceanview, missing the Kommetjie Hill. Then it’s a long pull through to Noordhoek and on to Chapman’s Peak through Hout Bay, up Suikerbossie and along the coast to Greenpoint.

A map of the route is contained in the brochure, and it is your responsibility to familiarise yourself with the route. Sections of the route are open to traffic on the day, and you are warned to keep to the left of the road and not cross the centre line at any time and to obey the traffic officers and authorised marshals. Participants other than those in the leading groups may be required to stop at certain intersections.
