Most of the places above have but you can maybe organise to read closer.
Ladies or volunteers working at soccer city there is a room that will be made available to all mussalies at the volunteer centre for salah throughout the world cup. It is strongly advised that ladies take advantage of this as it will be more convenient to perform jumah salah at the volunteer centre.

Halaal food at FIFA stadiums
SANHA (JHB office) – (011) 870 8000 confirmed there will be two stalls selling Halaal food at the stadium… the stalls are not named but was told to look out for HALAAL signs.
Following requests from Muslims locally and internationally, some members of the Diplomatic Corp and Government, SANHA has played ball to ensure availability of Halaal food at the first ever World Cup on the African Continent.
SANHA has worked closely with the organizers in advising, guiding evaluating and auditing the implementation of a Halaal program that has secured a Halaal outlet in every stadium around the country.
Look for the SANHA mark of Halaal Assurance at outlets at the following stadia.

im sure there are plenty people like me, worried about transport as well as mosque availability for opening match. Im not sure if soccer city has catered for prayer rooms? or perhaps mosques in the vicinity of the park and rides (maybe robertsham or perhaps near the wits park and ride)?
however here is the link for transport plans for soccer city and ellis park.

There seems to be many park and walks and park and rides. trains will be free for match ticket holders. Rea vaya, Gautrain, Metro bus also in full force. Park and rides and park and walk= R50 per car, tickets to be purchased from http://www.ticketbreak.co.za from 14 may onwards.

Wa Alaikumus Salaam
According to the information we have from the 2010 Organizing Committee and Joburg Host City which is in-charge of the stadium, there are no Salaah facilities at the stadium itself. There are no formal plans for the same during the actual games.
The nearest Masaajid to the Stadium are in the following suburbs Ormonde, Evans Park, Robertsham, Ridgeway, Riverlea, Mayfair and Homestead Park.

At Fred as far as I know no Jumah is allowed at the stadium. But someone said NIHT might be organising something.
Assalamu alaikum…For the opening match, jummah salaah will be taking place at Corobrick down the road from Soccer City i.e about 2km from soccer city at 12:30pm. Azaan will be at 12:15pm. Pass on the message to others who might be going. Please arrive on time to avoid any inconvenience. – i think address is 102 nasrec
This is an e-mail doing the rounds about Jumma Salaat
———————-
Subject: Juma Salaat at opening of 2010 FIFA Worldcup
Important Information regarding Juma Salaat and Halaal Outlets at the opening of FIFA Worldcup, please pass on to all Muslims on your databases
———————————————————————————-
1. There will definitely be Halaal food stalls at all stadia supervised/approved by SANHA.
2. On the issue of Salaat facilities, there will be NO facilities provided for fans at the stadium. We have many Masaajid within five minutes of the stadium, Riverlea x2, Horseshoe, Bosmont, Ridgeway, Ormonde, Mayfair, Robertsham, Markas etc. My recommendation and wish is that everyone should perform their Salaat first and then proceed to the stadium. The Markas has the biggest capacity and also starts the earliest so may be the most convenient. At other stadia we are only creating facilities for teams who request this, e.g. Algeria, and this will be in their dressing room areas.
I hope that this suffices for now but please call me should you need any further information.

Jazaakallah for all the info.
If there are are no salaah facilities at the stadium, does that preclude the community from organising their own salaah on the stadium premises? Surely people who want to get into the stadium early can try and organise salaah somewhere in the open?
I’ve spoken to NIHT, and they are NOT involved in or organising salaah at the stadium.
Is there any transport from the Dome in randburg to Soccer City on match days as it was for the Confed Cup?
no,
Thank you Nanima…..the information furnished is simply and fabulously useful……strength to you.
