My children are struggling with afrikaans. Although they are grown kids and in teens, I thought the best way for them to be introduced into Afrikaans is to get children’s stories in Afrikaans. Magriet was so much fun for them to read. Although they are a bit old for this genre of books it was great family time to read these books together and for them to explain to us what was happening. Some real insight in their Afrikaans comprehension. Hoping that introducing them to Afrikaans kinders stories will give them more understanding to the Afrikaans language . lol, once they figured the characters were their translation made so much more sense.
