
Ingredients
1 chicken
1 large onion
2 tbsp red ginger garlic masala
Salt to taste
Juice of 1 lemon
1/4 cup oil
Handful of fried onions*
1 tsp elachi
1 tsp black pepper corns
1 tsp cloves
Few sticks of cinnamon
1 tsp whole jeeroo
Few whole bedaam (almonds)
1 tsp desiccated coconut
1/2 nutmeg
Method
The ingredients marked with the must be grinded together (elachi, cloves, jeeroo,nutmeg, bedaam, cinnamon, black pepper corns and coconut), to make fine powder (u will have extra than what is needed for the recipe, it keeps very well in a glass bottle and can be used for next time). For 1 chicken u only need 1 1/2 tsp.Than blitz the onions, red ginger garlic masala, oil,lemon juice and 1 1/2 tsp of the grinded mixture in a food processor and until onions ad spices have blended together, marinate chicken for an hour or longer.Cook in ghee/oil until halfway done than add fried onions and cook through.Serve with any side dish of choice.Enjoy!!!!Note:Fried onions is added to give the chicken more and thicker gravy.
