
Ingredients
1kg Mutton pieces
2 tsp ginger/garlic
1 large onion sliced
2 to 3 tsp chillie powder
1/4 tsp black pepper powder
Salt to taste
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
2 tsp dhunia/jeera powder
2 tomatoes grated
4 potatoes quartered and fried1 cup frozen peas
1/2 cup oil
3 cinnamon sticks
1 tsp jeera seeds
6 peppercorns
3 cloves
3 cups rice cooked
Method
Braise onion in oil.Add cinnamon, peppercorn, jeera and cloves.Add meat with salt, ginger/garlic and turmeric powder.Cook for approx 45 to 50 minutes till tender.Add tomatoes and rest of spices.Add peas and the fried potatoes.Cook for 8/10 minutes.Add the cooked rice.Stir well.Add chopped dhunia.Transfer pot to preheated oven 160 degrees C.For 40-45 mimutes.Serve with spiced dhai, salad and papad.
