Attempted to make Rotla. Must admit found it much easier to make then normal roti even though I used a spoon instead of rolling pin. Also the first batch was trial run. Some looked like folded pancake. Managed to get the second lot much better.
Rotla
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup mealie meal
- half cup oil
- water
Method
- Add all ingredients together in a bowel. Put enough water so it is like soft dough
- let it stand for about 10-15 minutes
- Roll Roti or drop spoonfuls on tawa and spread it.
- Fry on high heat
- Put ghee or oil or in my case i used the spray Olive oil
- turn and fry until those brown patches come on.
