Mutton tarkari

 

 

Ingredients

1kg mutton

fried onions

1 half teaspoon salt

2 teaspoon ginger garlic

1 teaspoon turmeric powder

2 teaspoon chillie powder

2 teaspoon dhana jeeru

quarter  teaspoon  pepper

1 teaspoon whole jeeru

2 sticks cinnamon

2 cloves

2 cardamon

4 pepper corns

1 large tomato, liquidized

1 t tomato paste

4 potatoes halved

 

Method

1. Put ready made fried onions in a pot or braise onion in oil or ghee until golden brown

2. add cinnamon, cloves, jeeru, pepper corn and cardamon

3. add meat, turmeric, ginger garlic and salt

4. Cook for 30-40 minutes until half done.

5. Add chill powder, Dhana Jeeru, pepper, tomato paste and tomato

6. Add 3 cups hot water and potatoes

7. cook on medium  heat for 15 minutes

8. Garnish with dhana and green chillies

Serve with rice or roti or even better lekker with pap so u can have lekker pap and vleis
