Nanima’s Garden Makeover

Written by on October 10, 2010 in u

My garden was a big mess. As the gardeners said. It is a jungle here.  Thought it was time it had a good spring clean. Ferns for Africa, dead leaves for the whole world and even weeds that seem to become trees.  Even bichoo decided she wanted to help with this massive clean up operation.

I went to Ludwigs and bought a variety of Roses. While i was there I was amazed all the roses have names. There is a Madiba Rose, now recently a Tutu rose, even a blackberry rose? how do I get a Nanima Rose? What colour do you think it should be?

I bought Modern Art- Orange, Vrystaat- Orange, Zulu Royal – Purple, 5 Roses – Pinkish Red, Crimson Red, Cerise Pink and Yellow.

Maybe i will have to win a noble peace prize if i want a rose to be named after me.. unless i pay for it.. (didn’t ask the price yet). maybe the noble peace prize winner for getting mother in laws and daughter in laws to live happily ever after.. 🙂

Modern Art                                 5 Roses                                    Zulu Royal

Vrystaat                        Yellow                 Dark Red

Cerise Pink

I went to blue hills and found a few fruit trees. Pomegranate, olive, oranges and lemons

Pomegranate                                            Olive Trees

Oranges                                                         Lemon Trees

The end result  – with bird bath in the mix.
