Nanima's reflection on Spiritual Retreat

Watch this space!!! All I can say now, the wealth of knowledge Allah has bestowed on her is amazing, Sister Haifaa is becoming a renowned female scholar of our time InshaAllah.

About Sister Haifaa Younis

Female Scholar from the USA to visit South Africa for the second time. Many of us can only wonder what going on retreat feels like, but we have never had an opportunity to experience that feeling of peace, spirituality, solitude, reflection and getting closer to your Creator. Well more than sixty women got a chance to go on a 5 day retreat last year April with Dr Haifaa Younis as she took us on a "Journey to happiness, The Happiness of the Righteous". That was the topic discussed, and the focus was on Tazkiyyah which means Purification of the Heart. Emphasis was placed on Salaat, Dhikr and Reflection, and Ladies were encouraged to eat less, sleep less and talk less. Dr Haifaa Younis is originally from Iraq. She lives in the U.S and is a practicing physician specializing in gynaecology and obstetrics. She is also a Hafiza of the Qur'an. She has been studying with Shaykh Mokhtar Maghraoui from the U.S. for the past 5 half years focusing on Tazkiyyatun-nafis and is also fluent in Arabic. She gives weekly classes in Fiqh, Tafseer and Tazkiyyah to the Ladies in St.Louis. She has also conducted several retreats for women and youth there. Dr Haifaa will be visiting South Africa once more this month. The topic this year was "Reflections on Tawhid". For further information on upcoming retreats please call Fatima at 0846074070.
