NANIMA - WAT THE HELL IS IT ABOUT MOTHER IN LAWS & DAUGHTER IN LAWS! THEY JUST DON'T GIVE UP DO THEY IS BECAUSE THEY WANT US THE MEN TOO DIE EARLIER OR WHAT?? I REALLY WOULD LIKE TO KNOW NOW CAUSE THIS IS @@@@@@ RIDICULOUS..

Well in my case, my father in law is worse than my mother in law. He makes her look good actually. And my husband sees what they do and he agrees with me. So maybe in some cases the father in laws and son in laws are the quiet bystanders but not in all cases. I always thought my mother in law was an angel until her marriage started falling apart and now she is so cut up, that she insults everything i do. She used to comment on things before but i used to overlook it cos she was nice company but now i dont even want to go there anymore. My father in law was always so cruel. He started to pass comments from when i refuse so hug him on birthdays and from when i greeted for eid from far to avoid shaking hands. From then he is so cruel to me. But my husbands brothers wife is his favourite cos she hugs him, shakes his hand, sits next to him on supper table, phones for birthdays. I just think that behaviour is inappropriate. Other than that, i never had a problem with him but since that, he ignores me and complains about what i cooked or baked. So its not always just the mothers in law that are the faulty ones.

My father in law started treating me badly from when i didnt want to hug him for birthdays, didnt wana shake hands for eid, nor sit next to him on supper table. Since then he insults everything i make, doesnt speak to me and when he does, its to tell me to do something. So i ignore him back. I dont greet him cos he is disgusting. My husband brothers wife hugs him etc so he got no problems with her. This is a man that has a history of playing around with other mens wives so i dont feel bad. My mother in law is mean to me but i rather have her meanness than his anyday.

Stop generalising cos the father in laws are not that innocent.

My mother in law n father in law r divorced.I have a good father in law,he loves me 2bits..appreciates every lil thing dat I do..my mother in law also but its only cos she 2lazy 2do anything
She lives with us,but neva lifted a hand with anything...even wile I was working I had 2come home , cook
If I dnt cook she won't eat.if only I cud chose which in law 2live with,(definately won't b mother in law...

lol MIL's only those who live wid dem will truly undstnd da problems. but why are they like dat??? i mean shoud they not think about the problems they experienced with their MIL's and set us free/understand why we like to live on our own

lol!!! i think that mother in laws forgot that they too were daughter in laws!!! and i am sure that their mother in laws treated them much differently.every perant wants their kids to be happy so why dont treat your daughter in law with love and respect and you will get the same back? its just a viscious cycle that needs to be broken wether its the mother in law or daughter inlaw to start. until then us husbands/sons will always be in the middle.
