Wonderbag Recipe Pap and Chakalaka

So after we distributed the wonderbags out at Little Rose Winter warmers this year I was curious to see how pap can be made in the wonderbag.

Amazingly quick. Five minutes on stove, 1 hour in wonderbag and it was done..

 

Pap in the wonderbag recipe

What you need

2 cups mielie-meal, mixed with 1 cup cold water
2 ½ cups boiling water

salt

To cook:

Bring all the ingredients to the boil, cover with a lid and cook for 5 minutes.
Place the lidded pot in your Wonderbag™ for 1½ hours to finish cooking.

  • Preparation time:
    5 minutes
  • Hob time:
    5 minutes
  • Bag time:
    1 hour 30 minutes

Wonderbag – Chakalaka or Tomato Chutney Recipe

What you need

1 Tomato

half teaspoon chillies

1 tsp dhana jeroo/coriander cumin mix

some tomato paste

mustard to taste

1 onion braised

 

To Cook

Braise all ingredients for 5 minutes

Place in wonderbag

I left it as long as the pap in the bag.

When we ate the chakalaka was all done and hot ready to eat.
