ROUND 1
For preparations sake we asked the embassy for all their requirements. They gave us a long list and informed us my valid passport was not valid as it did not meet the requirements of 6 months. We know of a case where the passport was less valid but the person was given visa no questions asked. We battled to get our passport on record time from Home affairs thanks to all their efforts and great work. Nana has facial hair.. When we walked into the Embassy we saw a want ed poster that looked like MORE

NANIMA'S GREEN FINGERS

There is a hazardous waste dump closer to home for most of us - in our homes in fact. Look inside your kitchen cupboards and all the cleaning potions; out in your garage, shed or workshop, your poolshed, the boot of your car even your medicine cabinet. Over time, we have a tendency to collect items such as paints, thinners, cleaners, pesticides, artificial fertilizers, old fuel, bleach and all sorts of other toxic stuff containing environmental nasties. Saying there's 1 gallon of these materials in the average home is a gross underestimation. Prevention is better than cure - there's so many natural alternatives available now to replace many harsh chemicals we use in our homes. Find Safe ways to dispose of it that won't cause some sort of negative impact on the environment. The best thing you can do is to call your local municipality and ask for waste authority and ask them about hazardous waste disposal.

    RECIPE

    Tandoor Salmon Recipe

    INGREDIENTS:
4 salmon filets (skin on - about 4 oz each)
1/2 cup plain low fat yogurt
1 tbsp fresh coriander or parsley, chopped
    1 tbsp lemon juice
    1 garlic clove, minced
    2 tsp ginger, minced
    1 tsp ground cumin
    1 tsp paprika
    1/2 tsp turmeric
    pinch of salt and pepper
    METHOD 1,2, 3
Place the salmon filets skin side down in a shallow container. Combine the yogurt, coriander, lemon juice, garlic, ginger, cumin, paprika, turmeric, and salt and pepper and whisk all these ingredients together. Pour it over the salmon, cover and marinate in the refrigerator for a couple of hours or preferably overnight. Place the salmon, skin side up, on a well oiled grill over medium heat and cook for approximately 5 minutes. Turn over and baste with the remaining marinade and cook for another 5 minutes or until the salmon flakes easily with a fork. Serve with rice and a vegetable or salad and you have a quick and tasty meal for four.
